Rip & Basil Day 4 8-19-2022

RIP was first. We did more heel and whoa work and he is doing good on that. We got back on the table and kept having him open his mouth to put the bumper in. He is doing good so I started to introduce pressure in the form of the wonder lead. The pressure is applied when I give the command fetch. When he opens his mouth and the bumper placed in it, the pressure is released. It's an on-off form of pressure. He was starting to understand by the end of the session that the pressure from the lead meant he needed to grab the bumper. It was a good first day with pressure being applied. He is also doing better at not mouthing the bumper as much.

BASIL was next and we did more heel and whoa work. He is doing good, so we then moved to the table and started where we left off. He is opening his mouth good so we started to introduce pressure in the form of the wonder lead as well. Same thing with him, when he opens his mouth and the bumper is in it, the pressure is released. He picked up on the pressure meaning to grab the bumper real quick. It was a good first day with pressure being applied.
